In Nepal, there is not enough Children’s Literature books – it is therefore imperative to get young children books so they can develop regular reading habits and become a bookworm. We promote reading aloud for it is the most contributing activity in academic success of children.

Read Aloud
Read Aloud

Read aloud every day if you can. We help cultivate reading habits in young students early by reading aloud to them. In our read-aloud projects, reading aloud regularly (4-5 times a week) to grade IV and V students increased their reading ability by 30 per cent in six months.

Project Magical bees

The Magical bees project allowed teachers to create age-appropriate curriculum for students to draw attention to worldwide climate change and connect between local wild plants, agriculture and honey production as a small-scale economic activity that can offer financial help to the impoverished communities.

Reading Corners
Reading Corners

One of the best ways to make young students love books is developing a reading corner, so students have access to books anytime. We have observed that students borrow books more if they have reading corners in their classroom than if they had to walk to the library.
